- Returning to the Roots: My Journey from Holy Fire® to Traditional Japanese Reiki
A Personal Awakening When I began my Reiki journey, Holy Fire® Reiki offered a sense of peace I hadn’t known before. It opened doors to healing—first for myself, then for others. Over time, I certified at the Master level, embraced its structure, and built a practice rooted in love, compassion, and energy. I followed this with a Master Level class in Kid Reiki, and the ICRT Animal Reiki Master Level. But something in me began to shift. It started as a quiet restlessness. I felt drawn to go deeper, beyond the comfort of what I’d been taught. I found myself asking: What was Reiki before all of this? What did Mikao Usui really teach? What have we forgotten in our modern adaptations? That question pulled me into something I didn’t expect: a spiritual return, yet another awakening within me. The Sun is Within Everyone of us, Right in our Hara Training with Frans Stiene: The Door to Traditional Reiki In 2024, I began studying with Frans Stiene of the International House of Reiki—one of the most respected teachers in the world of traditional Japanese Reiki. His teachings weren’t branded, flashy, or scripted. They were rooted. His teachings are known as coming from pure Japanese lineage is known as Usui Reiki Ryōhō , isn’t about channeling energy from a divine source or receiving symbolic downloads. It’s about becoming Reiki —living it, breathing it, embodying it. Through meditative practices, chanting, breathwork, and self-inquiry, I was guided not toward something new, but toward something ancient and forgotten within me: That Reiki is not what we do. Reiki is what we are. Every living being is Reiki. What Changed in My Practice Letting go of Holy Fire® wasn’t easy—it had become part of my identity. But the more I stepped into this traditional system, the more I realized: I wasn’t walking away from healing. I was walking toward something more honest, grounded, and clear. Some key shifts in my practice include: Discovering the hara and the importance of the awareness of this energetic center 2 to 3 inches below the belly button. No longer “channeling” energy —instead, I create space for connection with others by entering a state of grounded, empty presence. I guide people to their healing. Letting go of external symbols as the primary focus and returning to breath, stillness, and the five Reiki precepts. Reiju instead of placements —an energetic blessing that gently awakens your own connection to spiritual energy. Interconnected not separate. Teaching students that healing begins with them and then and only then is it shared. It is a personal journey first and foremost. Why This Matters for You Whether you’ve worked with me before or are discovering Reiki for the first time, this transition matters because it shapes the space I hold for you. My sessions may feel quieter, deeper, more reflective. My classes are now built around personal practice, not performance. The Reiki I offer now is not about fixing —it’s about finding yourself. For My Past Students If you trained with me in Holy Fire®, you’re still part of this journey.I will be offering a transition class for students who want to explore this deeper path—a way to gently shift your practice from external tools to internal embodiment. This is not about unlearning—it’s about remembering and listening. Final Thoughts: Coming Home to Reiki In Japanese, the word “Reiki” is written as 霜気— spiritual energy. Not something to summon, send, or channel. But something to rediscover within. And if it calls to you, I would be honored to walk beside you. - A Living Practice: My Evolving Relationship with the Reiki Symbols
By Mandy Carter, Healing Homes & Hearts Hands of Internal Light Since completing my Shinpiden level training, something within me has shifted. One of the notable shifts is my Evolving Relationship with the symbols. This wasn’t just another class—it felt like a sacred remembering. After five years of working with the Reiki symbols in the Holy Fire® tradition, I’m finally beginning to experience what it means to embody them, rather than simply apply them. This blog is a reflection on that journey. Note: Out of respect for the sacred nature of Reiki, symbol names are abbreviated and intended for those already attuned. CKR – No Longer Thrown, but Breathed CKR used to be my power move. I’d energetically throw it into a room, into a session, into the air—always externally, to clear or protect. But as I chanted CKR during Shinpiden, everything began to evolve. I began breathing it in, resting it into my hara, and allowing it to spiral into the Earth. It’s grounding. Embodied. Quietly powerful. And no longer fear-based. It reminds me that protection isn’t resistance—it's presence. SHK – Reclaiming Inner Harmony SHK was my go-to emotional balm. I used it on clients almost by default, especially during emotional sessions. But now I understand the power of inviting it inward. I chant SHK into my own emotional field. I ask it to hold me before I ever offer it to someone else. Presence is the gift. Steadiness is the transmission. HSZSN – A Divine Heart Awakens I used to see HSZSN as a bridge—something I threw into the distance to send Reiki far away. But now, it feels like a sacred reactivation of what’s already true: that we are One. HSZSN is no longer something I use. It is the recognition of our already-connected divine hearts. There is no distance in love. There never was. DKM – Becoming the Light When I first received DKM, it felt distant—almost unreachable. But slowly, through breath and practice, it’s becoming the quiet light I carry. Each time I chant it, I feel a lampshade lifting from my inner flame. This isn’t a symbol I use—it’s who I’m becoming. A living embodiment of Reiki. I don't send it anymore. I am it. Teaching from Embodiment This shift has reignited my joy in teaching. I don’t need to explain Reiki—I guide others into direct relationship with it. The symbols aren't tools. They are teachers. And my role is to support students as they listen, feel, and remember their own light. A Practice, Not a Performance I now sit with the symbols one at a time, letting them live inside me. I chant them. I walk with them. I breathe them into sessions, not to fix—but to remember. Combined with a deeper embodiment of the Reiki precepts, my practice has become more spacious, more real, and more rooted in trust. I no longer feel the need to protect myself from energy. I trust that what is mine will stay, and what is not will pass through like a breeze. Final Reflections This is not the end of a journey. It’s a homecoming. I am no longer doing Reiki. I am becoming Reiki. The symbols are mirrors now. They show me who I truly am. And for that, I am deeply grateful. If You’re Feeling the Call… If you're walking the Reiki path and feel called to deepen your connection—whether you're brand new or many years into your journey—I invite you to explore with me. Through classes, mentorship, and sacred community, we remember together that healing is already within us. With light and gratitude, Mandy Carter Reiki Teacher & Spiritual Guide www.healinghomes444.com
- Unlocking the Power of Reiki: A Beginner's Guide
Welcome to the world of Reiki, a powerful yet gentle form of energy healing that can transform your life. Whether you're looking to alleviate physical pain, reduce stress, or embark on a spiritual journey, Reiki offers profound benefits. In this guide, we'll explore the fundamentals of Reiki, its benefits, and how you can start your own healing journey. What is Reiki? Reiki is a Japanese form of energy healing that aims to balance the body's energy flow. The term "Reiki" comes from two Japanese words: "Rei," meaning universal, and "Ki," meaning life energy. Together, they represent a universal life force energy that flows through all living things. The History of Reiki Reiki was discovered or rediscovered by Mikao Usui in the early 20th century. Usui was in search of enlightenment. He was gifted with this healing practice after a deep spiritual experience on Mount Kurama in Japan. Since then, Reiki has spread worldwide, with various forms and practices evolving over time. Reiki was brought to the United States by a woman named Mrs. Takata. Being of Japanese descent, Mrs. Takata resided in Hawaii. She returned to Japan during a health crisis and there she discovered Reiki. She was passionate about spreading Reiki after her complete healing and ability to avoid surgery. When she returned to Hawaii she brought the knowledge with her and began teaching westerners. The Principles of Reiki The core principles of Reiki, often called the Reiki Precepts, guide practitioners in their daily lives: Just for today, do not worry. Just for today, do not anger. Be grateful. Work diligently. Be kind to others. These principles help align one's energy with the universal life force. How Does Reiki Work? Reiki works by channeling energy through the practitioner's hands to the recipient. This energy can remove blockages, balance chakras, and promote natural healing. Understanding how energy flow and chakras work is crucial for grasping the essence of Reiki. Energy Flow and Chakras Chakras are energy centers within the body that correspond to different physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects. There are seven main chakras, from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. Reiki helps to clear and balance these chakras, promoting overall well-being. Removing Stuck Energy (Byoki) In Reiki teachings, stuck negative energy is often referred to as byoki. This byoki can accumulate from negative thoughts, emotions, and traumas. It's believed that this stuck energy is the root of many illnesses and problems within the body. Reiki helps to remove byoki, allowing the body's energy to flow freely and enabling the natural healing processes. By clearing this negative energy, Reiki creates space for positive changes and wellness. The Role of the Reiki Practitioner A Reiki practitioner acts as a conduit for the universal life force energy. They use specific hand positions and techniques to channel energy into the recipient's body, facilitating healing and balance. Practitioners are trained to sense energy blockages and intuitively guide the healing process. Benefits of Reiki Reiki offers a wide range of benefits, addressing physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. Here are some of the key benefits you can experience with regular Reiki sessions. Physical Benefits Reiki can help alleviate pain, reduce inflammation, and accelerate the healing process of injuries. It also strengthens the immune system, enhances sleep quality, and promotes overall physical health. Emotional and Mental Benefits Reiki is known for its ability to reduce stress and anxiety. It promotes emotional balance, clarity of mind, and enhances one's ability to cope with life's challenges. Many people find that Reiki helps them release emotional traumas and fosters a sense of inner peace. Spiritual Benefits On a spiritual level, Reiki can deepen your connection to your higher self and the universe. It encourages spiritual growth, intuition, and a sense of purpose. Practitioners and recipients often report heightened awareness and a deeper understanding of their life's path. What to Expect in a Reiki Session If you're new to Reiki, it's natural to wonder what a session involves. Here's a breakdown of what you can expect before, during, and after your first Reiki session. Preparing for Your First Session Before your session, it's important to relax and set an intention for your healing. Wear comfortable clothing and drink plenty of water. You may also want to meditate or reflect on any specific issues you'd like to address. The Reiki Healing Process During the session, you'll typically lie down on a massage table. The practitioner will place their hands lightly on or just above your body in various positions. You may feel warmth, tingling, or a sense of deep relaxation as the energy flows. Each session usually lasts between 60 to 90 minutes. Post-Session Considerations After the session, take some time to rest and integrate the healing. Drink water and avoid strenuous activities. You may experience emotional releases or physical sensations as your body adjusts to the energy shifts. Learning Reiki Interested in becoming a Reiki practitioner? Here's what you need to know about the training process and finding a Reiki Master. Levels of Reiki Training Reiki training in the Usui/Holy Fire® tradition is typically divided into three levels: Level 1: Focuses on self-healing and basic techniques. Students learn how to channel Reiki energy for personal use and to help others. Level 2: Introduces distance healing and advanced techniques. This level provides students with the skills to send Reiki across time and space and includes additional symbols for enhanced energy work. This can be completed in a two-day consecutive class or separately. Master Level: This is the Master level, where you learn to teach and attune others. It includes advanced healing techniques, the Master symbol, and preparation for becoming a Reiki Master Teacher. The Master level can be taken six months after Level 2 is complete. Finding a Reiki Master Finding the right Reiki Master is crucial for your training. Look for someone with experience, a good reputation, and a teaching style that resonates with you. Mandy Carter, a seasoned Reiki Master, continues her training in Usui/Holy Fire® Reiki and holds a Master level in Kid Reiki™ and ICRT Animal Reiki. You can reach out to Mandy by email at healinghomes444@gmail.com for guidance and training opportunities. Reiki in Daily Life Reiki isn't just for formal sessions; it can be integrated into your daily routine. Here are some ways to incorporate Reiki into your everyday life. Self-Reiki Practices Practicing self-Reiki daily can help maintain your energy balance and overall well-being. Spend a few minutes each morning and evening to channel Reiki energy into your body, focusing on areas that need healing. Integrating Reiki with Other Healing Modalities Reiki complements other healing practices such as yoga, meditation, acupuncture, and massage. Integrating Reiki with these modalities can enhance their effectiveness and provide a holistic approach to your well-being. Conclusion Reiki is a powerful tool for healing and personal growth. - Common Myths About Reiki- Busted!
Reiki, an ancient Japanese healing practice, has gained popularity worldwide for its benefits in promoting balance and well-being. However, many myths and misconceptions surround Reiki, often deterring people from experiencing its true potential. In this blog, we will address and dispel common myths about Reiki, emphasizing how it is compatible with various belief systems. Introduction to Reiki Myths Despite its growing acceptance, Reiki is still misunderstood by many. These misconceptions can create barriers to understanding and appreciating its benefits. Let's explore some of the most common myths and set the record straight. What is Reiki? Reiki is a Japanese healing technique that involves the transfer of energy through the hands of a practitioner to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. The term "Reiki" is derived from two Japanese words: "Rei," meaning universal, and "Ki," meaning life force energy. Myth 1: Reiki is a Religion One of the most prevalent myths is that Reiki is a religion. In reality, Reiki is a spiritual practice that can complement any belief system. It does not require any specific religious beliefs or rituals. Reiki focuses on channeling universal life force energy for healing and balance, which can be embraced by individuals of any faith. Reiki is not separate from God. Reiki can go along side all religion and belief systems if allowed to. Myth 2: You Need to be Spiritual to Benefit from Reiki Another misconception is that only spiritual people can benefit from Reiki. While Reiki can enhance spiritual growth, it is not limited to those who identify as spiritual. Reiki works on the energy within and around us, helping to restore balance and promote well-being, regardless of one's spiritual beliefs. Myth 3: Reiki is Only for Healing Physical Ailments Many people believe that Reiki is only useful for healing physical ailments. However, Reiki addresses the whole person, including their emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. It can help reduce stress, promote relaxation, and improve overall quality of life. By balancing the energy within, Reiki supports a holistic approach to health that goes beyond mere physical healing. Both the energetic body and human body are supported with Reiki. As Reiki calms and balances, the body is more able to function and heal itself. Myth 4: Reiki Practitioners Can Absorb Negative Energy Some people worry that Reiki practitioners can absorb negative energy from their clients. In truth, Reiki practitioners act as channels for healing energy, not as absorbers of negative energy. They are trained to protect their own energy and ensure that any released energy is transmuted and healed. Practitioners often use techniques to ground themselves and maintain a clear, balanced state. Myth 5: Reiki is Just a Placebo Skeptics often claim that Reiki is nothing more than a placebo effect. While belief in the process can enhance its effectiveness, numerous studies and personal testimonials indicate that Reiki has tangible benefits beyond the placebo effect. Reiki promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and supports the body's natural healing processes, making it a valuable complementary therapy. Myth 6: Reiki Conflicts with Religious Beliefs Some people fear that Reiki conflicts with their religious beliefs. However, Reiki is not a religion and does not require any specific religious practices. It is a complementary healing practice that can coexist with any faith. Reiki comes from our Creator and is a gift of healing energy that flows through us, enhancing our connection to the divine. Many people find that Reiki strengthens their spiritual practices and deepens their faith. Myth 7: Reiki is Not Scientifically Proven While Reiki is often considered an alternative therapy, there is a growing body of scientific research supporting its benefits. Studies have shown that Reiki can reduce stress, improve relaxation, and promote healing. As more research is conducted, the scientific community continues to explore and validate the effectiveness of Reiki. The growing interest in energy medicine highlights the importance of understanding and integrating holistic approaches to health. There are many studies listed on the site https://centerforreikiresearch.com/ Understanding the Universal Life Force Energy Reiki is based on the concept of universal life force energy, which flows through all living beings. This energy is not confined to any one belief system but is a universal concept recognized by many cultures and religions. Reiki practitioners channel this energy to promote healing and balance. By tapping into this universal energy, individuals can enhance their overall well-being and spiritual growth. How Reiki Aligns with Various Belief Systems Reiki's focus on universal life force energy makes it compatible with a wide range of belief systems. Whether you identify as religious, spiritual, or secular, Reiki can complement your existing beliefs and practices. It emphasizes the interconnectedness of all life and the healing power within us. Reiki practitioners respect the individual beliefs of their clients and provide a safe, supportive environment for healing. The Role of Intention in Reiki Intention plays a significant role in Reiki. Both the practitioner's and the recipient's intentions can enhance the healing process. By setting positive intentions and being open to the healing energy, individuals can maximize the benefits of Reiki sessions. The power of intention is a fundamental aspect of many spiritual and healing practices, highlighting the importance of mindset and focus. Personal Experiences and Testimonials Personal stories and testimonials provide powerful evidence of Reiki's benefits. Many individuals have experienced profound physical, emotional, and spiritual healing through Reiki. These personal accounts highlight the transformative potential of Reiki and its ability to support overall well-being. Sharing these experiences can help demystify Reiki and encourage others to explore its benefits. Conclusion: Embracing the Truth About Reiki By dispelling common myths and misconceptions, we can better understand and appreciate the true essence of Reiki. It is a versatile and inclusive healing practice that can benefit anyone, regardless of their beliefs. Embrace the truth about Reiki and explore its potential to enhance your life. When we think about spiritual growth, what often comes to mind is a profound journey inward, a quest for understanding our deeper selves. Reiki, a practice rooted in energy healing, is a powerful catalyst for this journey. This blog delves into the spiritual benefits of Reiki, exploring how it can enhance self-awareness and foster spiritual growth. Understanding Spiritual Growth Definition of Spiritual Growth Spiritual growth refers to the process of evolving one's inner self, seeking a deeper understanding of existence, and connecting with higher consciousness. It's about transcending the ego and embracing a state of harmony and balance. Why Spiritual Growth Matters Spiritual growth is essential because it leads to a more fulfilling and meaningful life. It allows individuals to navigate life's challenges with resilience, find purpose, and connect with others on a deeper level. It fosters a sense of peace, compassion, and love, enriching one's experience of the world. How Reiki Facilitates Spiritual Growth Reiki and Spiritual Connection Reiki facilitates spiritual growth by aligning the body's energy centers, or chakras, which enhances the flow of life force energy. This alignment helps clear energy blockages, promoting physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. As these blockages dissolve, individuals often experience a stronger connection to their higher self and the universe. Enhancing Self-Awareness Through Reiki The Role of Meditation in Reiki Meditation is a cornerstone of Reiki practice. During Reiki sessions, practitioners often enter a meditative state, allowing them to channel energy more effectively. This meditative aspect helps recipients achieve a heightened state of awareness, fostering introspection and spiritual insight. Reiki and Mindfulness Practices Reiki complements mindfulness practices by encouraging individuals to be present in the moment. This presence enhances self-awareness, helping individuals recognize and address negative thought patterns and emotional blockages. Over time, this increased awareness can lead to profound spiritual growth. Personal Experiences with Reiki Testimonials from Practitioners Mandy Carter, Reiki Master Teacher, shares her experiences with Reiki: "In my practice, I have felt an overwhelming sense of unity and love during Reiki sessions. These deep meditative states have been crucial in my own spiritual growth and have allowed me to help others on their journey. Through Reiki, I have found an ability to do energy healing work without depleting myself. With Reiki, the energies that are released from the client are healed and transmuted; I do not take those energies on. I am a one-way channel for Reiki. It is doing the work. I believe all empaths should understand Reiki and learn to use it for protection and so much more." Client Stories of Transformation Clients also report significant transformations. Sarah, who struggled with anxiety and a sense of purposelessness, found clarity and peace through Reiki. Her sessions helped her connect with her higher self, leading to a more meaningful and spiritually enriched life. Integrating Reiki into Daily Life Daily Reiki Practices To harness the spiritual benefits of Reiki, consistency is key. Incorporating short, daily Reiki practices can help maintain energy balance and promote ongoing spiritual growth. This might include self-Reiki sessions, where individuals place their hands on their own energy centers to channel healing energy. Q: How long is a QHHT® session? A: Sessions are not limited in time; they typically range from 5 to 7+ hours. Q: Where are QHHT® sessions conducted? A: QHHT® sessions are conducted in person, in Mandy’s office located at 509 S Fountain Ave in historic Springfield, Ohio. Q: What should I bring to my QHHT® session? A: On the day of your session, it’s recommended to come prepared with a list of questions that you want answered by your High Self. Most people make two lists: one of health/body questions and another of life/personal questions. Q: What can I expect during a QHHT® session? A: During your session, Mandy will explain the concept of the High Self and guide you to make a connection with it. You will spend time getting to know each other and discussing your reasons for wanting this experience. Afterward, you’ll delve into the hypnosis process, which typically lasts for two hours or slightly longer, and is recorded for your reference. Q: What happens during the hypnosis process? A: While in a deep state of relaxation, Mandy will guide you through 1-3 past lives or other soul experiences. Your High Self will lead you to the origins of your questions and issues, allowing for understanding, healing, and personal growth. Q: Is it necessary to have a belief in past lives? A: No it is absolutely not necessary to have beliefs in past lives. If this is not a belief you hold you will simply call the experiences stories. It is quite often that a client is reliving some experiences from this current lifetime. This is completed through the higher perspective of the clients higher self or subconscious. Q: How does the High Self answer my questions? A: Mandy will gently access your High Self and guide this divine part of you to provide answers to your list of questions. Mandy can guide your higher self to scan your body for healing and repair. This aspect of yourself, often referred to as intuition or the divine within communicates through you during the session. Q: What occurs after the hypnosis session? A: After the session, Mandy will bring you out of hypnosis and discuss what occurred, what you remember, and important parts of the recording. You’ll go over the answers provided by your High Self to your questions. The goal is for you to feel refreshed. Lighter energetically and more ready to face life's challenges. Often with answers that help you do exactly that. Q: What can I expect after completing a QHHT® session? A: By the end of the session, clients often experience a profound shift in perspective and healing. Many come out with newfound clarity and understanding, feeling transformed by the experience. The beauty of Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique® lies in accessing a deeper part of yourself that knows all the answers. Q: How can I maintain the connection to my High Self after the session? A: After experiencing a QHHT® session, you should have a clearer understanding of how to maintain this connection in your quiet time, meditation, or theta state, allowing for continued personal growth and insight.

- Embracing Your Authentic Self: A Journey of Healing and Joy
In a world where societal norms, expectations, and cultural influences often shape our sense of self, it's essential to distinguish between the culturally created self and the authentic self. This journey of self-discovery and healing can be likened to peeling back the layers of an onion—one layer at a time—with curiosity, self-love, and grace. The transformative practices of Reiki and Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT®) can play a pivotal role in guiding us towards our authentic selves, fostering profound healing, and ultimately leading to a life filled with joy. The Culturally Created Self vs. the Authentic Self Culturally Created Self The culturally created self is the persona we develop as a result of societal conditioning, familial influences, and cultural expectations. From a young age, we're molded to fit into predefined roles and conform to societal norms. This can lead to the suppression of our true essence, causing us to lose touch with our authentic selves. Authentic Self On the other hand, our authentic self represents the purest expression of who we are when we are born, at our soul level. It's the embodiment of our purpose, true desires, values, and beliefs, untouched by external influences. We see this in children before the world tells them who they need to be, before any ways and worries of the world touch them. Reconnecting with our authentic self involves peeling away the layers of conditioning to unveil our genuine nature and rediscover the joy that comes from living in alignment with our soul's true purpose. Healing with Reiki Reiki, a Japanese energy healing practice, serves as a powerful tool in this journey of self-discovery and healing. Mandy Carter, an Usui/Holy Fire® Reiki Master Teacher at Healing Homes and Hearts , understands the profound impact that Reiki can have on one's life. Through Reiki sessions and classes, individuals can experience: Energy Balancing: Reiki helps move and release stagnant energy, promoting a sense of well-being and balance. This balanced energy can facilitate graceful introspection and self-awareness. Emotional Healing: Unhealed emotions and traumas can block our authentic self. Reiki can aid in releasing these emotional blockages, allowing for a deeper connection to our true selves. Mind-Body Connection: Reiki fosters a stronger mind-body connection, making it easier to recognize and address the limitations and beliefs that don't serve us. Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT®) QHHT® is another valuable modality for exploring the layers of our consciousness. Developed by Dolores Cannon, QHHT® guides individuals into a deep state of hypnosis to access their subconscious mind. During a QHHT® session, one can: Explore Past Lives: Past-life regression can reveal patterns and experiences that have influenced our present-day self, shedding light on our authentic nature. Connect with Higher Self: QHHT® facilitates communication with one's Higher Self, providing guidance and insight on personal growth and life purpose. Release Limiting Beliefs: The session helps identify and release limiting beliefs, allowing us to embrace our authentic self more fully. Awakening to Your Authentic Self The process of peeling back the layers of conditioning and rediscovering your authentic self can be both liberating and transformative. It involves questioning and releasing beliefs and ways of being that no longer serve you. This awakening process is a journey of self-acceptance and self-love, that should be guided by curiosity and grace. By engaging in practices like Reiki and QHHT®, individuals can gain clarity, heal deep wounds, and reconnect with their true essence. Mandy Carter, as an experienced Reiki Master Teacher and Level 2 QHHT practitioner, offers valuable guidance and support to those on this path, facilitating their journey toward authenticity and joy. In conclusion, embracing your authentic self is a profound journey of self-discovery and healing. It involves peeling back the layers of societal conditioning, questioning limiting beliefs, healing traumas, learning to love all of you. This process assists in reconnecting with your true essence. - Exploring the Relationship Between Reiki and Spiritual / Religious Beliefs
In this blog, we will explore the relationship between Usui/Holy Fire ® Reiki and Religious beliefs. I will share some about my personal experience with Reiki, opening my heart to connection with God. Working with Jesus and Archangels in my sessions is a part of my practice that is very special to me. I am grateful for Reiki and it’s part in my connection with the divine. Reiki is a healing technique that is becoming increasingly popular around the world. It is a form of energy healing that originated in Japan in the early 20th century. The meaning of the word Reiki is Rei (spiritually guided) Ki (life force energy). Ki flows through us all, allowing us to live at our fullest potential. As life happens, stress can accumulate allowing a cycle to occur. Our thoughts and emotions can begin to cause blockages in our physical and energetic bodies. In the system of Reiki we call these blockages ”Byoki”. This Byoki can lead us to pain, disease and distress within our body. Reiki meets the energetic body and the physical body and collaborates with them by calming the nervous system, aligning our energy centers, helping our bodies flow energy and heal themselves. Helping to break the energetic pull of the stress cycle. Reiki practitioners channel Reiki into the body, by placing their hands lightly or hovering over the body while the client is fully and comfortable. While most sessions take place on a massage table, a recliner is available if it is better suited for the client. Distant reiki is an amazing technique that Mandy practices with clients that live far away. Reiki is received beautifully via a picture, or some kind of electronic connection. Meditation always helps the client settle into the session. This can help someone gain meditation skills as they practice Reiki. The benefits of a session can be compared to multiple meditation sessions! One of the beautiful things about Reiki is that it is a non-invasive and gentle therapy that can be used in conjunction with other healing modalities. It can support and enhance the benefits of other therapies, such as massage, acupuncture, or psychotherapy. Reiki can help people relax and reduce stress, which can be beneficial for people dealing with a variety of health issues Mikao Usui is responsible for forming a system around Reiki allowing it to be spread from teacher to student. The system included the Five Reiki Ideals, symbols and using attunements to pass on Reiki to others. The Original Reiki Ideals are used as a tool for intention and meditation to start and end each day with. The secret art of inviting happiness “Just for today Do not be angry, Do not worry, Be filled with gratitude, devote yourself to your work, be compassionate and kind to people.” Usui/Holy Fire® III is a form of Reiki that was developed by William Lee Rand. The Holy Fire aspect of this form of Reiki is a type of energy that is said to be of a higher frequency and vibration than traditional Reiki energy. Reiki energy is not limited, we can all be trained and attuned to Reiki. No special skills are needed. Usui/Holy Fire® III Reiki is often learned by practitioners who are seeking a deeper connection to the divine within. Reiki is often associated with spirituality and can be practiced with or without any religious affiliations. Reiki has been allowed to develop as an intuitive energy. One lineage that has grown from this is Usui/Holy Fire® III. This energy has also been upgraded to World Peace Reiki. It is important to understand that Reiki is not a religion. It has no religious dogma or belief system affiliated with God. Reiki is a holistic healing practice that works with the body, mind, and spirit. As Spiritually guided life force energy, it is an intuitive energy and assists the practitioner in the session. From the time a practitioner is attuned to Reiki, the Reiki is assisting them in healing themselves first. Many people are attuned to Reiki to use as a self development tool. Being attuned and trained in Reiki is an amazing tool for empathic people to protect their energy fields. People that work with the public, in health related fields, mental health, and so many careers that people could use Reiki on. Another benefit of being attuned is being able to give yourself sessions Usui/ Holy Fire ® Reiki energy can help promote relaxation, reduce stress, and relieve pain. As the body aligns itself it begins to move into a state of well-being and ease in healing itself. Reiki is not a substitute for medical care, but rather a complementary therapy that can be used alongside traditional treatments. It is Mandy’s dream to see that within her lifetime. Being a normal thing for Western medicine to merge with Reiki and other forms of energetic work. One of the misconceptions about Reiki is that it is somehow in conflict with religion. Reiki can be practiced by people of any religion or spiritual belief system. In fact, Reiki can be a powerful tool for those who are seeking to deepen their connection with their faith. I have personally experienced this since my decision to be attuned and practice Reiki in my daily life. Reiki has opened my heart and healed so much of my past trauma, including religious dogma. This has allowed me to invite in a new relationship with Jesus. I continue to grow this connection through my practice. Praying during sessions for Jesus and specific angels such as Archangel Michael to assist Reiki in clearing attachments from my clients. I ask for them and Reiki to remove these energies, taking them back to their origin. I lean on Reiki and these ascended Masters during sessions. Many practitioners of Reiki see it as a way to connect with the healing power of God. They believe that the energy channeled during a Reiki session is the same life-force energy that flows through all of creation, including human beings, animals, plant life and so much more life that we may not be aware of. Similarly, practitioners of other religions can see Reiki as a way to connect with their higher power. Some see it from a Shamanic perspective which would be from the connection with the Earth, elements and Creator. The message of Usui/ Holy Fire III World Peace Reiki ® Is one of union. A message that we should all come together. Collaboration is needed as we move through this time. We should not be divided by our beliefs. We should be focusing on our connection with the divine and cultivating that rather than being worried about everyone else’s beliefs conflicting with ours. In conclusion, Reiki can be practiced by people of any religion or spiritual belief system. Reiki has no religious affiliation. It can be used to support and enhance any religion. Even agnostics are atheists. Reiki is a holistic therapy that works with the body, mind, and spirit to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and relieve pain. Whether you are seeking to deepen your connection with your faith or simply looking for a way to support your overall mental health and wellbeing, Reiki can be a powerful tool for you to have in your wellness toolkit.
